KunTao is the original blend of hard and soft fighting arts, to generate power from the natural body mechanics and physics principles. KunTao is a natural movement. KunTao is a way of life, it is not only a way to fight, but includes the way (Tao) to improve posture, health/healing, energy gathering, body and anatomic knowledge. In conclusion, it is the Tao of perfecting yourself. KunTao art and science develop the body, mind and spirit in the proper and integral way. KunTao was passed down for more that 2000 years in family circles, until the early 70s, which is when it started to be passed on to a selected group of disciples recognized as part of the family. KunTao practices open hand, weapons, Chi gathering and mind development, with a goal to improve the fighting skills of any martial art. KunTao may perfectly blend with any other art but can also be a complete art by itself.
